"Scroll Speed" and "Camera Acceleration Time" settings

Today, for the first time in the ~7 years I've been familiar with AoE3, I discovered what these two settings do. In what is a gross, stubborn, long-term disconnect I've always thought "scroll speed" meant "mouse scroll speed," as in, the time to zoom in on the map. Aka useless.

Lately I've watched people like Butifle and dicktator stream and I see each of their screens move so fast when their pointers hit the edge. My screen moved so slow and it was really bothering me in game. Stupidly I've always thought it was a DPI issue and only just now realized my mistake.

Anyways, I want to know what you all set these two settings at? For instance I think I like to have a relatively slower scroll speed (~50%) but an even lower acceleration speed. Previously I was probably playing at ~15% of scroll speed. so so so so so slow

This seems like SUCH an important setting why doesn't it get mentioned more? There are the simple UI settings, max zoom, gatherers per resource, etc, but never this? It feels like I'm playing a new game!!!

update: the biggest problem I have with changing it is missing the "Menu" button in the top right and scrolling half way across the map in a half second

It's generally not recommended to visit the menu in-game anyway. Some say it makes your APM go down to 0.

I have scrolling at max but camera acceleration at about 50%. I think it really is dependant on what you're comfortable with. Speed helps tho

Too high settings can be annoying epseically if the game lags.
Ideally it should be rather low speed and you use minimap more.

Thank you for tour insight, with the same idea I recently found out that you cart sort the games on the browser by clicking on the yellow words (sort by name, number of players, game mode, time...) same system for the list of players in the clan. [spoiler=spoiler]

Id put the screen scroll at fastest speed if I could but I noticed its not too practical for me.
Another option worth mentioning is the one that delays the information box. I set that to minimum, that way whenever I hover over a treasure I know immediatly whats in there, instead of having to wait a second or more -which may (or may not) be relevant when youre macroing...
