Hello guys if you are as jap on a water map and you know your opponent is gonna to rush you (any civ) it's better to spend the export for boats still or go bestieros? I watched some recs and seems like even you risk to don't hold the rush you have to send boats. What is your idea about this?

3 boats = 3 vils which aren't going to die easily and for 200 exp that's not a bad idea. But still not as cost effective as 7 bows. 7 bows balance your early mass and don't cost any primary resources.
Maybe it's safe to send 3 boats in mirror, otherwise 7 bows will allow you to play more smoothly.

Send the boats imo, then jap consulate for few yamabushis.
If you're vs iro, do kynesie's build, it works very well ')

Personally I think 3boats are better but it's very hard vs russian/otto/iro rush expecially and maybe 7 bestieros can help but I am not sure I hope h2o blackstar or some top player would give their opinion

Vs iro/otto/russia, you won't have the export to send the besteiros if they rush, so the boats are much better, besteiros might be better if you aim a 8min timing, in every other situations, boats are better.
