I like the idea of faster halbs. It's really unfortunate that there is this incredible, cav killing monster in the game that literally no one ever uses. It might be because in the history of ESO a halb has never actually caught up with a cav unit...

Halbs aren't bad, that isn't the problem. The problem is that ranged cav is disgustingly dominant. It's more dominant than musks in colonial imo. They force skirm goon in basically every match up.

Ranged cav should be given a negative multiplier versus their counters imo. Nothing major, just enough to prevent Ports from winning against skirms with full goon in industrial. Thats not the problem imo, not at all. They do plenty poorly against skirms. The problem is that they shut down cav so hard that it isnt even funny. It is not specific of goons but rather of all ranged units to outmicro meele units in rts games. That said with a certain critical mass it is essentially the other way around.

Yes as long as you get a good surround the meele unit has more dps so with goon 3 rof is not possible to take the huss out.
Also the main point in that ase is that if uss meele the goons with skirms shooting in the back of it then goons die too. Just because goons counter huss it doesnt mean huss cant attack goons
