You dont need to have a villager building the wonder the whole time you only need it to just start it and pretty much hit it with a hammer one time then it builds by itself and the villager can go on its merry way.

it's 120 seconds i think with no vills, and each vill takes off 10 seconds

It takes at least 2 ages to age like that. Like I had birthday cake twice and it still wasn't done.

Yeah one reason I have at least 4 vills building summer palace for China is that I want to get the 400 food shipment that goes with it, so it's like I'm gathering food the whole time I'm building considering crates gather faster.

Forward Base, a military building build outside your own base to be closer to your enemy.

You could look at Goodspeed''s TAD Guide (There is a forum with the download link). There is a glossary in the back with some useful information, and if you are new to the game, it should also help with other things.

This is a great thread. Was talking about it with some of the Mac community guys last night and a lot of them werent of this until they moved to ESO.

And I don''t think anyone was aware that you could use travois/wagons as appropriate to speed up the construction of buildings that have been started by villagers, until a year ago.

But it''s one of those tricks you will rarely ever find useful...

To continue the theme of the thread, you can scout the water on a water map with just the home city shipment buoy. I think it was either you Aiz, or musket that let me know that one. It's actually quite slow but if you got some apm to spare in age 1, meh why not ?

i think he means like when u begin to build a bank, and send bank wagon, the bank you began to build with ur vill will build faster if the wagon is building at the same time (saw it from his stream)

hmmmm sooo.. takes 120 seconds if i have o vills, but could collect around 120 resources per vil.... having 1 vill on it reduces to 110 secs and i get maybe about 110 food. or i can put 8 on and finish at 40 sec? but would miss collecting about 320 food (rough estimates depending on age). but aging faster stacks resource upgrades etc.... might be viable to age from 3-4 in treaty but other than that seems pros use max villies to age up

its good to time it with shipments. For example, as china, you want to age up to age 2 just so that when shipping 700 gold for your FF, you'll have the crates finished up gathering right when you hit 1200 food. And then you want the age 3 wonder to finish up right when you have a shipment ready.
