I just hope DE is not going to implement all of the EP changes. Right now it is a big clusterfuck.

If Irish leaves on water maps that his good right. And I can understand one wouldnt want to, water maps suck. Apperantly you guys still want to play against him and his OP civs because you are still playing against him.

Its more an advantage for India that their villagers cost wood.

I don't know, but, what you guys think if India's villagers costed food, would India be stronger or worse?

U have to consider india has 80 wood houses. They probably cover up for the vills costing wood

They also get the first two market wood upgrades for free, so their base gather rate is higher than regular vills'.

india would be better if vills cost food imo, much faster, more hunt dependant yes,but faster age up more units and no one on wood because of the tricles for housing upgrades and more military buildings, less vills in transition etc..

They'd probably be hella OP morelike. They could just go gurkha-zamb right out the gate from aging and win every colonial fight because they'd have the eco for stable production so much earlier.

Japan is op, shrines pop up everywhere. Increase build time by 100% if heavenly kami is sent.

Really? I was certain that was true... I remember checking some wood upgrades for them and I recall their base gather rate is about 0.57 w/s, whereas other vills gather 0.5 w/s. Or am I wrong? :(

They have wood upgrades at the start, but their base is still 0.5 so if you upgrade their wood it will come from the 0.5 base. 0.575 is also significantly less than the 0.83 of hunts.

Oh, ok, that's what I meant, but yeah, in terms of later upgrades their base rate remains unchanged. Thanks!
Btw. they get wood trcikles, so it's maybe not that bad... Other civs, on the other hand, get HD and ST.

wood trickles are just worse versions of vill shipments. If india vills costed food it would basically be +2 vills at the start of the game which would make them easily the best civ in the game.

I still don't think Japs are OP. Some civs, Brits for example, just wipe the floor with them. I can think of so many times that the first ashi batch has been killed by the first 5 musk and a couple of cav, both as and against Japan.
