1000w is largely used after couple of unit cards. And yes you can have a 2nd military building even without it. 1000f is not needed unless you have a 2nd TC or something.

But then you will need many villagers on wood to make up the housing space which means you can't even support the second military building. So you add the 2nd building only when you can afford the extra spam?

You normally have 5-7 vills on wood with the 5v FF, which is totally fine. Yes you add the 2nd building only after a while, normally when some units are traded and you free some pop space. 5 skirms+cards is enough early on. Besides if you go 700g 5v 700w and had market start you can add the 2 building almost instantly in age3.

Unless you need to be really fast wouldn''t you always market start tho? Even with 300f 100w if u get a 50 gold/wood treasure or food treasure you have maybe 5 seconds of idle time or so. If you don''t the only other chance you have to make it is in transition (never tried it) or from 700w, which will mean you will need even more vills on wood.

You gonna get plenty of idle unless 100w or 100g+buy. If you delay 1st shipment+1 vill is basically not efficient anymore.
