Isn't hackapells a better card then jaegers?

HP hack 2360
attack 968
resists 30 vs ranged

HP jaegers 3250
attack 390
resists 40% vs ranged

1/3 less HP, granted, but 50%+ more attack.

Thx.

Edit: nm, with some micro the multiplier comes in and attack is *2

no jaegers is a really strong shipment while shipping hackappels is bad like 90% of the time

As there is no content yet regarding the match-up vs japan - any thoughts on that? x-bow semi or naked ff? @Kaiserklein @Mitoe As Ger doesn't have musks it's probably not viable to stay age 2 for long? I feel that uhlans are not really helpful here as many japan players go pure ashi.

Usually I go naked ff, but I guess you can also do a kind of pike semi or so

thanks. naked ff: age with quartermaster, 3sw, 700c and age with exiled prince? if I do that I manage to age up before 7mins but I am housed af. and 1000w first shipment in age 3 feels like wasting the advantage of ageing early.

700c700w for the faster naked ff or 3sw700w for the eco version (just gather the gold in this case)

yes and if you can you ship 1k wood as well when you hit age 3

Ideally you want to do 3sw/700g naked ff and directly ship units to pressure japan super fast. However for that, you need to ship 3 sw and 700g back to back, otherwise 700g comes in too late (you'll have sth like 1600f 300g when it comes, which is awkward). You also need to still have a shipment ready when you hit age 3, otherwise it's useless. Tl;dr: you need an early TP. (or a normal transition TP + a significant xp treasure).

In case you don't have that, you can go for 3 sw 700w naked ff and gather all the gold for age up. It's much slower but you have infrastructures up. But I prefer 3 sw 700g when I can do it, because you can ship 1 unit shipment in age 3 + make a batch of units and push japan, and it should be enough to pressure him pretty hard, allowing you to ship 1000w after and still be fine (if you don't ship wood at all you basically can't mass).

If japan goes aggressive though, you might change your 3sw/700w build into a colonial defense. If you're doing 3sw/700g, you're so fast that you can just age up and shit on aggressive japan with an age 3 units shipment.

If japan goes greedy and you have a stagecoach map, I think 3sw/700w naked ff with stagecoach is the best build. Can even do 700w/3 sw for a fast stagecoach.

@lemmings121 you don't go 700g first though, because you won't have enough food to age up in time, unless you skip some market/TP and/or age up with 500f, which is bad.
