What's the best map from RE in your opinion?
Hey, i was wondering which map is the best, the most balanced map from RE, but a map in land, it can't be deccan because it's really OP, there are a lot of japaneses doing FI with walls on everywhere. I'm searching a map where all civs can have the same possibilitys for win. Any idea?

All re maps have some form of severe imbalance. I would say siberia is the most balanced overall.

Re: What's the best map from RE in your opinion?
Texas could be, Siberia is a good call, sometimes Great Plains, but you can't be sure.
Also Amazonia, Yucatan and Saguenay, but they have water :(

Re: What's the best map from RE in your opinion?
It's kinda impossible to have a map where all civs have the same chance of winning.
The good spawns of Andes (no river) can be decent. Northwest territories is interesting too as long as you don't use water. Siberia is good for some civs (eg Japan) but bad for others. Himalayas is good for most civs but has poor hunts in-base and only 1 bad mine, so it's prone to rushes.
Great Plains is honestly a bad map. The spawns can vary so much that, even though it's occasionally possible to get a good balanced one, most of the time it dramatically favours one player. It also has the most Imbalanced treasures.

Not at all, umeu lately described Silk Road nicely, you have two big treasures there which spawn randomly. On GP you have more of the smaller ones that can compensate for our potential losses. I've been playing this map lately, too, and the hunts are actually always there, just sometimes a bit further, but I'd rate it something like 7.5/10 in terms of hunts. Also, bear in mind the gold mines.

Siberia and Silk road. I am also a fan of the balanced version of patagonia in the EP standard map set.

Re: What's the best map from RE in your opinion?
silk road has no tp and no gold so i wouldnt call that balanced as it affects some civs more than others

Funnily enough, I got the exact same impression...
^ @tedere12
, is it any worse than on another non-TP map? I don't really think so...tedere12 wrote:notification

Yes it does, you just have to kill guardians and control the trade route.

yeah, you have one mine in base only and you have to run your villagers very far away for the second one and you have unprotected vills. It is obviously not enough to feed you

But its easy to lose control and you must have units to take it. lets say u take it in 6 minute, it wont pay off ( it also gives 40 exp or sth close to that iirc, not enough at all) I know the house trick but if you face a rush civ, u just lose 100 wood free.
