well, maybe we will see selfies WITH IS instead now

Jokes aside: stay safe site, however I still fail to get why someone would join an army out of free will

Some join it to escape a life crisis, others because they can't get employed anywhere else.

It's such a ridiculous statement, like nearly all Dolan statements, just naked the usual jargon.

Clearly not the case in Site's scenario as it was implied. I imagine it's seldom so simple as that anyways. The army can offer a lot in terms of opportunities you know.

okay yeah, the army seems very interwoven with everyday life and social benefits in the US from what I've heard so far, but in the end it's still the army. You risk being ordered to kill/get killed by some dumb leader and his irrational decision unless you're in a special department, that's personally the worst choice I could imagine for my occupation and outweighs the benefits for me vastly. Also you really have to like following strict commando chains and strict environment

Not many of this know, but you are the first of my friends in this community, the guy I learned playing aoe with. Loved playing the game with you but somewhere we lost that connection.
Good luck mate, not many people get to do what they want in life, live it to fullest. If destiny has it, we'll be in touch again.

I'm joining the Army for several reasons.

(not in any particular order)

1.) Several key role models in my life served in the military.

2.) Military discipline appeals to me.

3.) I am not afraid of combat, I look forward to it.

4.) Flying is near and dear to my heart, I want to fly helicopters. Preferably combat oriented helicopters.

5.) The military is providing me ample opportunity to travel the world and learn new things, while also being an excellent way to build my character and meet new people.

6.) USA USA USA

Site, the battle strategy and micro you learn in aoe3 will carry over to the military very well. Part of flight training there even involves proving you have dexterous control when flying an advanced hot air balloon.

A lot of famous writers were in the military at some point or another, presumably because it scarred them. It's on my list of fail-safes!

The best way to get over your fears Callen is to go against them! .once i was playing a french mirror and i was afraid of a cav switch.then my opponent came to me with 20 curiassiers and ate my skirms.after that i had no fears simply because i had no skirms left

I said scarred, not scared.

But also yes, that's dandy in a video game where you aren't just susceptible to dying at any point.
