But I'm curious to know who else snores at an insanely loud volume. If I had to make a random guess I would say @Goodspeed

He sounds like a beached whale, like an elephant who's child was just poached, like a motorcycle struggling to rev up. It's the haunting sound of a man who desperately wants normal breath but has been cursed to make horrible noises like a freak.

I have had one experience with such a snorer. His snores were like chainsaws with loose, rattling chains. He snored on the inhale and he snored on the exhale. There was never not snoring, just two different tones of it -- like an ominous "Jaws" bi-note horror theme which never broke speed and left one with a feeling of madness. I wanted to suffocate this grotesque, fat, beastly instrument.

It was a shared hotel room for an overnight school event. Eventually I knocked on another door and slept on their floor. I found I couldn't snore that loudly even if I tried, it would rip my throat and nasal flaps apart. This man was a marvel of biological engineering. The stresses which must occur on his various cartilages, the intense vibrations and resonance, the likely severe medical deterioration which whittled him away night by night... a strange specimen!

I used to snore loudly (unfortunately I did not realise) until I got my braces done and my adenoids removed.

Most snores can easily be fixed by corrective surgery, but its a small thing really.

I've never ever snored in this life. My neighbor however is either snoring or he's getting some action. Weird sounds coming from next doors (grunts/snores?)
