#ModTheEar
I think at this point it's obvious that the Community team needs a new member. The current staff just aren't quite "cutting it," as they often complain about their duties and try to get out of their responsibilities.
I, on the other hand, have been around these forums for a while and I know I can do a better job taking care of them. I also won't complain when I get notifications about reports - I would actually value the job of being a mod!

A great state cannot lack in any one of its departments. Moderate The Ear and watch the forums blossom.

I've applied many times and did many things to specially qualify me, like the podcast and telethons

It's obvious why they didn't accept your past applications...
The mods are scared that you'll outshine all of them.

That is true, but I hope they give me a chance so everybody can see what a great mod I would be.

I supported this movement during my unexperienced youth. Now I know better; and I am resourceful. Expect resistance.
We are ESOC.
We do not forget.
We do not forgive.
Expect us.

Expect us.

Many people mod their ears. Common modifications include piercings, rings, and pins.

The ear is the voice of the oppressed and unheared. It is not just self promotion. He is the leader of the simple people. He is basically a modern version of Martin Luther King. Would you say the same words to Mr. King? Probably not. Because his movement was successful. So please give ear some time to inspire the ones that did not dare to dream anymore.

The ear has one job and that is the opposite of voicing.

Yes, there is no doubt that if the situation persist, we will need new members in the community team. But I am here not to recruit, but to respond to the rest of your statement.
Can you provide us with any solid evidence that the current members of the community team aren't "quite cutting it"? There are a few things you have to take into account. First, we are all volunteers who dedicate (and sacrifice) some of our free time to moderate the forum, discord and twitch, along with some other responsibilities (approving and welcoming new members, discussing various policies, banning smurfs, reviewing bans, etc.). It may come to you as a surprise that we have been having quite a lengthy discussion within the community team almost every day on the reports and issues that we have to deal with; and when drama arises, we have to be on our guard to monitor the corresponding threads. How often, especially under special circumstances, do you see us complain about our duties and slack behind?
I am very well aware that some of us are extremely busy with our real life and/or not in the best condition to serve the community, but a few of us at a time should be efficient enough to moderate the forum. That being said, do you know how fast it can be for ongoing issues and drama to burn us down? No, you don't; so please let me tell you: before I joined the community team nine months ago, I was also unaware of how heavy the burden would be and to what extent I should moderate. After I accepted the invitation and joined the rest of the crew, I realised how difficult things can be and how quickly the numerous issues can wear us down - acting on reports to attract hostility or ignoring reports to attract hostility. Of course if it were just myself moderating the forum, it would be an easy task to decide "yes" or "no" using my own standards (in which case a lot of members will be banned indefinitely); but no, we work and make decision together as a team, and in most controversial cases, we have to go over the issues before we can act on the reports.
I hope that clarifies a bit of our daily tasks as a member of the community team. Surely if you are still willing to apply, we will consider your application along with other candidates. But since it is quite a long list of decent candidates that we have to go through, at this point we do not want to keep anyone's hope high.
