Europa universalis 4 on sale
Hey guys. One of the greatest games in history is on sale currently. Buy it now. I recommend you buy the dlcs "art of war " "common sense" "rights of man" and "mandate of heaven" aswell as they greatly improve the game experience.
If you dont wanna invest that much, Art of war and common sense is still an absolut necessity. Should cost around 25 euros right now. Come join the eu 4 community withing ESOC.... Currently consisting of myself :)

Re: Europa universalis 4 on sale
I've owned this game for forever and have had it installed for a while too, but have never played it because I've been turned off by the idea that the learning curve for the game will be huge. How long do you think it would take to learn the mechanics?

Depends. I mean in the first hour you wont understand anything. Until you can really enjoy the game you probably need at least 5-10 hours. I still discover new things and new ways to play the game after 1000+ hours

I was fan of paradox since eu2 but i dont like their money policy anymore.
Re: Europa universalis 4 on sale
I played one game of it but I quickly found it to not pique my interest much anymore. The combat seemed so uninteresting.

It's not about AoE3
Overall rating for the game is 86%, recent rating is 34%. What happened? I'm seeing something about the DLC?

They increased the price when the steam sale started, even though the game is 4 years old. Just for that the game is not worth my interest.

You can just not put the game up for sale... How does increasing the price sound like a good idea
Too bad, I really like the studios

Yep, too many DLCs. And the latest ones have screwed up the fort system and AI. The game was better back in 2014; it's just bloated right now.
For those who like Paradox-style games I recommend Victoria 2.
Top quality poster.

institutions are great. They allow the player to play any nations without a presett tech deficit. Its a lot more dynamic that way.

Re: Europa universalis 4 on sale
It's like 125$ for the full game on sale. Nothing can justify that. Even though I enjoyed the eu3 and Victoria 2.
Re: Europa universalis 4 on sale
Just get it on g2a imo you can get the entire thing for like 15$ all dlc lol

Well, in response to the recent criticism from most players across steam, reddit and pdx forums (as well as the negative reviews), the studio has decided to roll back what they have done to the recent price changes - all of them.

btw, since it's summer sale on steam, the game itself is 75% off again and dlcs are mostly 50% off; though like @lordraphael said, the game is already good enough with a few dlcs, and if you are aiming for multiplayer only, or if you have friends who own all the dlcs, then only the base game is needed on your side as the host will (or should in theory) have all the dlcs enabled.
Only played for about 300 hours on and off, but it's great and provides a lot of replayability (since we get the whole map to play with and every time something is different). Would definitely recommend it, provided some "ducats" were saved up previously before the summer sale.
Re: Europa universalis 4 on sale
Alright I bought it, I guess LordRaphael's efforts were successful in the end?!
Idk when I'll start though, too lazy right now.
