I'm not buff. 50 push ups is definitely good, I was thinking that if you could do that, you could do more than 3 pull-ups

Different muscles depending on your style of push ups. Military push-ups would be suitable if you want to exercise your shoulders as well.

On the monofrequency vs multifrequency subject. Both work. It is true that multifrequency has proven more effective on natural but there is nothing wrong with periods of monofrequency. If anything it helps breaking plateaus.

Been there. It's boring. I prefer sports or functional exercises

I followed Candito's Six Week Strength Training (http://www.canditotraininghq.com/free-programs/) for several months, back when I was a stud, with very good results, when I had lost my linear gains. It comes with an already prepared excel file. Very accessible.

Candito is a cool guy. The program is free, not some pay-sham like other fitness figures put out. His YT channel is pretty enjoyable too.

I run 5-10 miles a day and lift heavy stuff. You have to be in good shape to be OP at AOE3.

Bought a power rack and cable system and 500 lbs of weights for $500 (steal) off Craigslist. Also came with chalk, belt, and dip belt. Bought Olympic dumbells, an ab wheel, and foam roller off Amazon. Borrowed some of my dad's farming bungies for stretching and mobility. Repurposed a mirror I found by the dumpster. Built a wrist roller. Had an amp with an aux chord. It was a full fucking gym. Kept it all in the garage, used the shit out of it for two years come hot or cold whether. Ate well, high protein, tracked calories. Got woefully ripped, then turned 21, then mysteriously stopped working out forever.

I had pretty much my goal body though. Many good memories in that dinky garage. I always say "I should start working out again!"

The majority of people should do well on programs similar to this but one should still invest a little bit of money and go see a professional for some movement screening and program design (see strength deficit below). As your training age gets older you will need more individualization in your programming.
Obviously, I would never endorse buying programs online from people.

It isn't the best article on it but covers the basics of it.

Sure, it all depends on personal goals. And of course people come in with weaknesses in some areas more than others, it still depends on what your goal is.

I wanted to grow stronger, and by default bigger, but with emphasis on the strength. So I did low rep, high weight, full body movements.

I increased my squat by some 150 lbs but didn't increase my vertical. That was for sure a "strength deficit" of mine but I didn't give a shit about my vertical.

If I wanted to become as "healthy" a person as possible I would have lifted less and ran far, far more.

If I wanted to become the best athlete I could, I'd still lift but incorporate far more dynamic exercises into my program.

If I wanted to increase my flexibility and increase the control over my own body beyond the minimum threshold for what is needed for weight exercises, I'd have done yoga.

There's an incredible amount of resources online which make not seeing a professional totally viable for the vast, vast majority of people, that is, if you can separate fact from fiction and are really, truly, and continually passionate about receiving the most and best information out there. It does take a lot of effort but a little, smart, self diagnosis can go a long way.
