Basement Steak Nights

  • Quote

Post by fightinfrenchman »

well,

The Basement has begun a new tradition: steak nights! Each friday and/or saturday night we're gonna head to dr. d1ck's house and eat some steaks. We started tonight, but next week we will make it much better with side dishes, higher quality steaks, and most likely some glasses of whiskey.

Do you have any suggestions on how to make steak night even more OP? Comment below if you do, if not then just tell us what a great idea this already is. :ear: :ear: :ear: :ear: :ear: :ear: :ear: :ear: :ear: :ear: :ear: :ear: :ear:

1) Allow your steak to reach room temperature before cooking.
2) Don't stab the steak while putting it in/out of the pan and flipping it so the juice doesn't escape
3) Use groundnut oil for cooking steaks – it has a mild flavor and can withstand very high temperatures without burning. Never use butter.
4) Don't season too early - salt will draw the moisture from the steak, removing flavor.
5) Vary your seasoning each week. Different options include coriander, black pepper, balsamic vinegar, honey mustard, teriyaki, etc.
6) Rest your steak for half the cooking time on a plate in aluminum foil, so the fibers within the steak absorb the juices once they cool down a bit.

Enjoy your steak!
