It just dawned on me...
It just dawned on me...
I have no strategy for eso-community.net (yet!)
At a young guy I learned that "having a strategy" for whatever you do in life is essential, otherwise one can easy fall into a trap of procrastination, which paired with a liking for marijuana is a surefire way to... nothing.
For example: During the first date with a girl, I slowly start my strategy development. If the girl like wine my strategy will be something like... Get her piss-drunk ASAP, sweet-talk her a little before inviting her home to my Dunge... house, where things will develop as per my plan.
So today I came up with my eso-community.net strategy: Reach 420 po(s)t(s), light up a space cigar and then continue with top-notch quality posts.

Let's discuss BTC and BCH. Any thoughts on SegWit2x? I haven't had time to read much about it yet, but I've watched some of Andreas Antonopoulos talks.
Pay more attention to detail.

Let's first of all see when and IF it happens. Bitcoin2x.org was regisrered back in 2012. BCH receives little to no organic growth, whereas BTC gets more and more mainstream by the day.
The good thing about all these forks is that you get free coins :)
Don't pay too much attention to the experts predicting this and that, a few days ago they predicted the fall of BTC and the rise of BCH - look at the charts and see how that went

Investing in BTC or in stocks is equivalent in terms of tax for the record. You pay tax when you convert back to legal tender. Taxation is mostly cancer anyway, so not paying tax is just good. @spanky4ever
I thought SegWit2x was implemented on August 1. Did it not? I thought the rationale behind BCH was that SegWit2x goes against the spirit of BTC. @Snuden

There was a fork done August 1st, but Segwit2x was due this month. The fork back in August was the creation of Bitcoin Cash.
I think what they try to do with all these forks is to create a coin that is better suited for commerce, something that bitcoin is still struggling with as the transactions can take hours or in some cases even days to be confirmed.
I personally just use bitcoins to buy other coins, which I then sell again once that coin gets more valuable. 21.

@spanky4ever Do you actually want a discussion on the matter of taxation etc.? Your aggressive tone isn't helping in that case. Let's quench the flames.

Re: It just dawned on me...
@Snuden I see. It seems rather premature to try to use BTC for every-day transactions. The philosophy of BTC is much more than just a currency; worrying about slow transactions at this point seems like a misunderstanding of the vision. I am admittedly not very knowledgeable on the subject, but it seems to me that SegWit2x is the real concern here, not the slow transactions.

If you find the technology interesting you should read what blockchain technology actually can do. For example, all cryptocurrency casinos are "provably fair" which means that anybody can actually verify that the casino don't cheat.
Go to bitcointalk.org and search for posts by the user "Satoshi" (main founder of bitcoin)
You can pretty much follow the entire development of bitcoin there.
Nobody have heard from Satoshi since 2010 and his wallet (containing 1 million btc) is still untouched. Not even co-developers knew his true identity. If you didnt know, btc transactions can be traced and the amount of btc in a wallet is public information.
All very mysterious and VERY interesting.

Re: It just dawned on me...
question for you @Snuden and @Gendarme would you exploit this kind of making money. if you could not get healtcare for free, and your children would be without schooling. and there would be no maintenance of roads, brigdes or any infrastrctures? Would u? No defense either

Re: It just dawned on me...
@spanky4ever In my view this is completely irrelevant to free healthcare. I understand your point of view, but I think you are completely misguided on the subject. I'll write a response to KoenigRother later today or tomorrow so I'll explain in more detail then.
