Of course, but gotta play with the mind a little bit for shits and giggles. The difference between a millionaire Gendarme and the current Gendarme was only one click.

That's the same difference as between current Gendarme and a dead Gendarme

Price has dropped 12% so far, which translates to a 36% profit measured in Bitcoins (20% measured in USD, I think) with my 3x leverage. Not really a lot for a one-time investment, but if I can keep predicting accurately like this (which I probably won't) it will eventually be a lot.

Tonight is the time to go long on BTC. The question is: 5x or 10x?

What are the moral implications of wishing misfortune on others for personal benefit? Can (monetary) personal benefit come fruit without others' sacrifice? If not, is self-gain immoral? Is it absolved only with altruism?

I had to look up "altruism" hence my late reply.

There are no moral consequences whatsoever, at least not for me.

Theoretically yes, but that would require the price only went up and people only sold, when in profit. At some point the price would be so high that it would require all the money in the world to buy a single Satoshi.

Self-gain is not immoral to me and I would personally never resort to altruism, when doing a trade.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. This type of trading is for sure a zero-sum game; there is no value created. Your gain is the loss of others. It is very similar to gambling, except everyone may not be aware of the fact that it is gambling.

I remain unsure about whether it is moral, but I think it is.

Its close to a zero-sum game imo. Sure if you make money someone else loses some. However, a higher trading volume in the end is beneficial for the coin and the additional awareness is also a positive in this phase?

I dont see trading as gambling, even though crypto atm is an undeveloped, young and risky market where luck certainly matters. At least it would be an educated guess you take when trading, not a complete gamble as when you go to the casino. Otherwise people who have made profits more consistently wouldnt be able to do so (and here I dont mean buying in 2011 and cashing out in 2018 once after the 2017 highs during the downtrend, thus still making money, but far from ideal).

Gambling can involve skill as well (poker). I was not referring to crypto specifically anyway.

Poker isnt gambling, precisely because its about far more than just luck (calculations, bluffing, reading opponents). Gambling is going to a slot machine or playing roulette or so, where skill components are minimal and the luck component is huge.

But ok, back to crypto, curious to see if this latest short upwave will continue, seems we had a (temporary) bottom.

Skeptics predict it will go further down before it goes back up.

it could go up, it could go down, it could go sideways.
