Very correct, I was not too happy about that. Couldn't even eat much of it from the carpet, due to a risk of eating bits of the plate, or bits of the carpet...
As for how it's happened, my brain malfunctioned and I just randomly ran the plate straight into my table. Had anyone seen me, it would've probably been fun to watch a guy just walk and ram his meal into a table for no apparent reason.

It is extremely delicious. I usually only eat it with salad, but fries are allowed on Sundays.
10 Euro - including a large beer.

In a few months time I will BBQ it myself!

It is quite a bit more expensive than other countries, but I still think it's quite cheap compared to other expenses people have (e.g. smoking).

Tbh it's a bit expensive. Pita with gyros would cost max 3€ and a portion around 5-6€. Souvlaki is usually cheaper than gyros. But not sure about Cypriotic standards on prices

Doner kebab or souvlaki? Here a doner and fries is 6ish Euro and a soft drink is around 1 Euro.
This is in a restaurant setting (Taverna) and with the charm that brings. I guess it's not dirt cheap, but very reasonable indeed. The portion is enough for me as it also comes with bread.

I can't beat $9 AYCE.

It has to be said that this is in a tourist area. If I venture into town it's around 8ish Euro.

It's the other way around here. Gyros is (as I see it) more considered a snack, whereas souvlaki is seen as a legit meal.

When in taverna, a common thing is to have several different dishes and all of you can eat from everything. However, 10€ per person for taverna is ok price.
