Loved it. Lots of intentional subversions and correctly addresses some of 7's many weaknesses. Snoke was boring, so Rian Johnson killed him. Rey's family was a useless mystery that fans drove into the ground with hype and speculation. The most logical and powerful answer was that her parents were no one.

The macro elements were good. How they composed the movie with micro elements left much to be desired imo.
I really wanted a Snoke vs Luke insane power fight with Luke losing but leaving Snoke weak then Kylo finds him like Anakin finds Palpatine "weak" after dueling Windu but Kylo decides to kill him while he can in his weakness.
Dumbest line in the whole movie "now it's worth it" as Rose takes the saddle off the race horse thingy. Like they aren't just going to recapture it. Was PETA writing the movie?
