I gave the test a chance, but imo its questions are drawn up in such a way as to push you into a certain bias-category and "reveal" something about you.

This test is basically just another Myers-Briggs of political beliefs.

Fairly close. I consider myself to be a very progressive centrist.

I wonder how @spanky4ever will score. :hmm:

I want to see @Jam 's too.

This one is so bad. So many statements instead of ideals being asked for:
"Selfishness is the overriding drive in the human species, no matter the context." This is probably a truth, but even then it doesn't say much about how one things it should be.
"The social roles of women and men can partly be explained by biological differences."
This is a fact.
"Market economy is optimal when it is not regulated."
This is basically a "fact" in that an unregulated market has more revenue.
"Revolutions will always end up in a bad way."
This one is just lol. How can that statement be true unless you're completely ignorant about the past.
"Biologically, human beings are designed for heterosexuality."
Thank you captain obvious!

Yeah what lejend meant to say is, "You'll like this one. It's just like Cometk's, but less comprehensive, and less accurate."

I think it describes your worldview, not just your political beliefs.

So there should be a scale of ignorance, when you disagree with true statements.

I like this one: https://www.politicalcompass.org/
It asks you how you think things should be like, and about what you find a good and fair approach.

I probably share Libertarian principles but don't align with Libertarian policies. But considering the only alternative is authoritarian...

I'm likely not as left as I come off on these forums -- I just believe all people are created equal and deserve to be assisted, to the betterment of their lives, uplifted from states in which there is no opportunity to seek that which might be good.

yep, this seems actually pretty accurately representing my views. Although as a whole, I see myself as completely issue-oriented policy-wise. If something makes sense according to data and commonsense, then it should be implemented.

Of course those tests are, as Callen suggested, flawed and can't be 100% accurate also due to the fact that perception of left-right, authoritarian and liberal and so on, is subjective. Even within political science there is no one definition of those terms.

Isn't that the original political compass? It's still biased, though. Maybe Callen is right for once.

What I dislike most about these, is how they don't define their terms. How can one be a left-wing libertarian? Libertarianism fundamentally about the non-aggression principle, which inherently precludes any government, since self-defense is the only valid form of violence.

You’re Merida!

You’re strong-willed, passionate, and pretty handy with a bow. You’re not willing to compromise who you are (or babysit your little brothers). Today just might be the day you change your fate. Now that you know which Disney princess you are, find out which princess kingdom you should live in!

Okay now your turn.

You’re kind, curious, and eager to to explore the world around you. We suggest avoiding spindles.
