So in the United States there's a lot of opposition to unions, particularly of those employed by the government, and their is currently a pending Supreme Court case that could potentially (and will likely IMO) cripple public unions. But here support for unions is usually partisan, with the left supporting them and the right dismissing them (though I admit this is a generalizition).
How is it in Europe? Do you think public sector unions are a drain for taxpayers or important in protecting workers? How about private sector unions?
