The Fortune Teller
The bad fortune teller looks into his crystal ball and sees that the future is bleak and so he behaves as though the future is bleak, and by doing so he makes it true. The good fortune teller looks into his crystal ball and see that the future is wonderful and behaves as though there's nothing to worry about, and by doing so he makes it false. So do not predict the future because you cannot possibly know what will happen. It's already determined, but your lack of knowledge of the future gives you free will. So just do the right thing you should be doing right now and do one thing after another and the future will happen, whatever that is.

Re: The Fortune Teller
What about the fortune teller that looks into the crystal ball, sees that the future is bleak, and then uses that knowledge that they wouldn't otherwise have to do what's needed to avoid that future?

Re: The Fortune Teller
The crystal ball does not show the truth because the fortune teller and the crystal ball are one and the same. So the fortune teller tries to fix what is not broken with tools he does not have. It is the crystal ball that is bleak. The future will happen on its own.Vinyanenya wrote:What about the fortune teller that looks into the crystal ball, sees that the future is bleak, and then uses that knowledge that they wouldn't otherwise have to do what's needed to avoid that future?
