Best TV shows
Re: Best TV shows
I think part of it was probably the procedural aspect. Wasn't there a problem of the week sort of thing going on?
Honestly I don't remember. I just didn't like it. Can't argue with taste. Also I'm pretty spoiled at this point.

Touche. Here there is no way to even get HBO unless you have a specific ISP.

Imagine all the additional money that could be donated to ESOC if you "pirated". Do it for the greater cause!
Pay more attention to detail.

I have found people often consider David Simon's shows boring, so I suppose maybe you will. Should give it a try though.sounds boring
Goodspeed wrote:New show by David Simon (from the Wire), and another great example of why I love that dude. Excellent character drama. I say this having seen only 1 episode, but knowing the writer I'm pretty confident it's not going to deteriorate. As a show mostly focused on building great characters, it's not the kind that would run out of steam easily. The Deuce is a 1970s-1980s drama television series set and produced in and around the pornography industry in Times Square, New York. Created and written by Simon along with frequent collaborator George Pelecanos, the series pilot began shooting in October 2015.[72] It was picked up to series in January 2016. It premiered on September 10, 2017 and is broadcast by the premium cable network HBO in the United States.[73]
The Deuce tells the story of the legalization and ensuing rise of the porn industry in New York beginning in the 1970s and its ongoing rise through the mid-1980s. Themes explored include the rise of HIV, the violence of the drug epidemic and the resulting real estate booms and busts that coincided with the change.

Re: Best TV shows
I've been enjoying the first 2 seasons of Narcos. Normally I hate stories centered around drugs but it's shot really well and I really like that they do a 1/3rd of the show in Spanish. Would recommend. Idk if the 3rd season will hold up, I have yet to start it.

I recently watched lie to me and still watching the blacklist. The former was pretty good but ended abruptly, the latter is enjoyable so far.
