@Goodspeed have you watched Bojack Horseman? I noticed it's not on your list. IMO very deserving of a potential spot. It's one of my favorite series on right now.

In a world much like our own in which anthropomorphic animals and humans coexist a talking horse is one of the most poignant representations of loneliness, depression, and addiction. The show's dark themes go hand in hand wth its comedy. A lot of clever jokes are sprinkled throughout and Will Arnet does a great job voicing Bojack. Todd is a character that might take a little getting used to.

Since humans and animals are both equal creatures in this show it can address some very real, morally grey areas in our own lives when it comes to animals rights and the food industry. This isn't a focus or anything but one of the options of choosing such a genius setting, that and a huge potential for jokes. The show does a great job commenting on social issues to boot but the whole thing is this mess of hillariousness and sadness rolled into one lovely ball of clever word play and American pop culture refrenences and great characters with really fascinating arcs.

Also Hannibal seems cool, I'm still in season 1 though.

Added the Deuce (drama)
New show by David Simon (from the Wire), and another great example of why I love that dude. Excellent character drama. I say this having seen only 1 episode, but knowing the writer I'm pretty confident it's not going to deteriorate. As a show mostly focused on building great characters, it's not the kind that would run out of steam easily.
The Deuce is a 1970s-1980s drama television series set and produced in and around the pornography industry in Times Square, New York. Created and written by Simon along with frequent collaborator George Pelecanos, the series pilot began shooting in October 2015.[72] It was picked up to series in January 2016. It premiered on September 10, 2017 and is broadcast by the premium cable network HBO in the United States.[73]

The Deuce tells the story of the legalization and ensuing rise of the porn industry in New York beginning in the 1970s and its ongoing rise through the mid-1980s. Themes explored include the rise of HIV, the violence of the drug epidemic and the resulting real estate booms and busts that coincided with the change.

Wasn't a fan. I don't remember why, it was a long time ago I watched this (somewhere during the first season). I lasted a couple of eps and got bored of it.
