Either find an expert in the field or ask your pool supplier about the most friendly chemicals that can be added to your pool. Once they give you recommendations when considering your criteria, then do some research on the internet to verify what they're saying. Try and get multiple opinions until you find what's right for you.

Yeah I can't argue that it seems to be the best of the Jack's Magic products, but I have strong doubts about its ability to reduce phosphate levels. Even chemicals like Phos-X with the sole purpose of removing phosphates don't seem to do it very well.
