No matter what those pseudo 'doctors' called chiropractors may say, occasionally cracking your neck shouldn't cause much trouble, assuming that you don't have a medical condition, injury or anatomical abnormality that might be exacerbated by the manipulation.

That said, cracking a joint too much can stretch its ligaments and it "pops" because it produces a momentary cavitation bubble. I read an article on a research a while ago that stated the cracking of the fingers is absolutely harmless. Also, one of my hips cracks/pops when walking lol, never had any issues with it.

Yea sometimes I crack the jaw too. Also I can crack my shoulders. One time I remember just doing either a regular neck or jaw crack (I can't remember witch) in class and it was sooooooo loud that it scared me. I sometimes think back to that crack and wonder if anyone else in the class heard it cause it was a gnarly crack.
