It's the Frenchman job to make these posts. It's your job to make a big long post explaining how you're leaving because the rules are unfair, everyone is a dick, and longbows remain unbuffed

Mind if I ask why? Please don't tell me it's because of moderation, because you have probably been the biggest benefactor of strict modding on this entire forum.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.

Ow, a troll with 3 warnings leaves a sinking ship by himself. Is that prevention or resignation? ^^

You'll come back. They all do.
Re: RIP thebritish
I personally think thebritish has established himself as an integral part of this community. His departure heralds a fundamental paradigm shift - one that sees us venturing into the unknown.
Re: RIP thebritish
Make it a little break. I'm sure you will enjoy the forums again once things have calmed down a little bit.
Re: RIP thebritish
'calm down' aka become dead and inactive.
Those of you who have been around long enough will remember what happened to Sons of Liberty. Everything went fine until the mods became too power hungry. Then there was an exodus and the whole place turned dead.

No.
If you had posted there, you would have stopped the moderation policy here from becoming what it is now. Because there's only one thing it leads to, and that's a ghost community.

I'd like to see how long you can keep a community alive by forcing it to discuss only aoe3 and nothing else.

It did, at first. That was where the life of the community was focused. Everyone used to talk about the 'golden age' before ES introduced stricter moderation standards, and started shutting down threads. That's when people like Mr. Native moved on to set up Sons of Liberty. Basically, tight moderations forces people to leave so they can pursue intelligent discussion elsewhere.

lol wat
ofc it did
think it got closed though, which would obviously kill it
My point exactly. The mods here should make the off topic forum a priority. If they can't sustain free, active, thoughtful discussion here, everyone will just leave.
