Why are none of the pictures working for me :<
Re: Maths Question help please.
My answer would have been "look at trig rules sheet, fine one that does transformation that you can cancel out. Cancel it out. Apply second trig rule to make tan.

Re: Maths Question help please.
You need a list of trig identities. My math teacher gave me one, but most of them are all fairly easy to remember. If you know all the identities then completing a proof is easy.

You have to buy subscription for it to show work lol, if you plug this in it will probably just say "True". Pretty sure if you buy it online though it's a monthly charge but if you buy it as an app it's only a one time fee of like $2 lol

Laurence's handwriting is borderline unreadable though.
Re: Maths Question help please.
for second question 1-tanĀ²(x) + 2 =0
<=> 3-tanĀ²(x)=0
<=> tanĀ²(x)=3
<=> tan x = + - sqrt(3)
<=> x = Arctan( + - sqrt(3) )
2 solutions : x=pi/3 and x=-pi/3
<=> 3-tanĀ²(x)=0
<=> tanĀ²(x)=3
<=> tan x = + - sqrt(3)
<=> x = Arctan( + - sqrt(3) )
2 solutions : x=pi/3 and x=-pi/3
