I could go for the 1Gpbs subscription, which is not that expensive, but I felt like I didn't really need it, since my computer is not that OP to notice the difference. Every page usually loads instantly for me already, so I don't see what I could get from 1Gpbs, except faster torrent download.

Ah, the fast life of city folks. Out here in the boonies where we barely have phone lines, we are happy to have 8 Mbps download on a good day. My sister lives on an isolated ranch and they don't even have a phone line, just Internet via satellite.

I live in a town of ~70k people. Calling it a city would be a stretch. I do live close to the capital, though. You can get this sort of speeds anywhere in this country, in every small town, for 10 bucks.
10 bucks includes cable TV and internet.
