I just hope DE is not going to implement all of the EP changes. Right now it is a big clusterfuck.

Amazon used to be just an online store right? It feels more like a high tech company that tries to do the same kind of stuff google does.

Also, I never wait much in line really, dont see the appeal of this.

There is a less expensive alternative already in stores now. It's called shoplifting.

It looks like the Starbucks version of Walmart and will certainly have an impact on prices. It's likely intended for the upper middle/upper class people and for those that feel more or less comfortable with technology. I don't think it's the appropriate segmentation for this kind of market, which provides necessity goods.
In short, I don't think it will work.

Amazon Web Services is the biggest cloud service at this point in time actually, I think their online store is a smaller part of their business then their online service at this moment

Technology shouldn't be held back so people can continue doing mindless labor. If we did that we would never advance

Good, the fewer dead-end minimum-wage jobs we have, the better.

the point is with the economy though, to survive you must have a job of some sorts. MILLIONS of people are trapped in those dead end jobs. As automation increases something with the economy such as guaranteed income will have to be in place. There simply are people that either are not qualifies for others or actually prefer those types of jobs.

200 yrs ago everyone had a place. The world was full of local tailors, cobblers, bakers, farmers etc... everyone filled a niche in their community and lived authentically to their means. Then the industrial revolution started to centralize production into mass quantities paying people bare minimums for their work. They still ran the machines though. Today the machines are beginning to run themselves. with fewer people needed to maintain them. Even college educated people are finding it hard to get jobs in their fields. Something has to give.
