I'm going on an Elder Scrolls Online™ raid later today. My PSN is BurgerMeister52.
Re: New to eso
@PeachTree Hi, sounds like you're looking for the Elder Scrolls Online community, but we're here for the Age of Empires RTS game, particularly focused on Age of Empires III, which had used the Ensemble Studios Online multiplayer gaming platform long before Elder Scrolls Online ever existed, hence the name.

Ah, apologies then. I might try out the game, I know some of my buddies play age of empires 2. Is this game anything like that? It looked like a really high skilled one.
Re: New to eso
The game is the sequel to Age of Empires 2 and most people on this site would say it's better than 2. I think it is currently on sale on Steam as well if you wanted to get it.

Got the game and Microsoft complete collection bundle from my best friend on steam. This is ridiculously easy to play, compared to sc2.

Yes but there are 91 unique match ups compared to 6 and even in each of those 91 match ups there is much variety in how they can be played.

Re: New to eso
I tried out the Indians civilization recently, and they are ridiculously strong. I managed to beat a master sergent in a 2v1 with my buddy today. He had cuirassiers, but the rajputs were very strong. Also, It was on the map Siberia, and somehow I was able to train little bombards in fortress age for 1200 gold each. Seems broken as a unit. Isn't that a imperial age unit?

Lil Bombards are mercenaries. Mercs are units you can train from the saloon. There are always 2 mercs you can train and 2 outlaws. These are randomised each time the map loads. The Lil Bombard is a very strong merc, you are lucky to have it. Normal civs can train the Lil Bombard only in Age 4 (Industrial Age) but the asian civs (India, China and Japan) can train all mercs from age 3. It kind of broken.

Re: New to eso
Maybe we shouldn’t optimize SEO for AoE3 stuff too closely.
Re: New to eso
A few updates.
1) I tried out the treaty no blockade game mode. It seemed slow and boring, but the combat was way faster.
2) I played this custom map "lost" and really enjoyed it, as my explorer got like 10 speed from the treasures. I won game without making town!

You're better than some players who depend on Otto and Iroq 2 win. If you play well with India well then that means you just play well. gj bro
Re: New to eso
aoe 3 is THE BEST rts game ever, glad that u enjoy it. If you like massing a huge army you could play treaty games, otherwise you could play supremacy for a "normal" rts experience. Database here about strategy and stuff is great and you can always learn things new. GL!

Re: New to eso
But India could be played in a brainless way just like Otto and Iro. I think the main difference is that it's not really effective for Otto and Iro players to try something not brainless..

Re: New to eso
I am becoming increasingly frustrated with my games being not reported onto the servers. Is there an alternative to this?
