Hello all! The Wars of Liberty team is hoping to accomplish a goal we've had for years: building a campaign! The only problem is, the team is not equipped to turn our visions into a reality without help. We require the assistance of fans with some specific skills:
Scenario Designers. We need designers who are experienced and are able to create complex scenarios that may involve multiple objectives, cutscenes with varied camera angles and animations, and special triggers.
Voice Actors. You will have to be able to speak English clearly, although accents are not a problem. In fact, we prefer actors with Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian accents.
If you think you're up to the task, visit our Campaign subforum and read the Instructions post to show us your stuff so we can figure out what you can do to help the Campaign Team! Don't hesitate to apply and inform your friends about it - we want the fans to be able to enjoy our work as soon as possible! See you on the forum, and thanks!
Jeez Id love to do voice acting for the campaign haha! :)
Perhaps a British character can be slid in... Or maybe a British character is recalling what happened and is telling the story and then suddenly it loads into to the mission and you're suddenly playing what he's explaining
I remember the AOE2 campaign doing that.
Also can help playtest coz I like speedrunning haha
This year he's raised an army of Christmas Santa Hat wearing Jagers elfs to payback Explorer Jection, he storms the town to take back his sheep!
The Wicked Cossack voiced Children villagers barely escape with their lives...uhhh..I mean Christmas Spirit. They make it to the stable just in time though and ride away into the snow on their horses! (They ride away as Cossacks (which are obviously totally wicked!!)).
The kids escape to Mankl ville and tell their leader Ryan all about scrooge Brambony...
The Waterboy kicks up a vengeful fury and rides out to save Christmas: "AAAATTTTTTAAAACCCCKKKKKKKK!!!! BabyRage"
Brambony is thwarted once again and we all live a happily Christmas after.
BUT! What wicked plan will Brambony bramboozle us with next year next year!?
@Interjection I'll see what we can do with the campaign, but honestly if you've got the time I'd love to throw your voice on some civ feature videos we're working on. Your Tips & Tricks videos were great watches for someone like me that's played this game for over a decade but is still scared to try his first match online.
To hijack my own thread for a bit, how popular is WoL on ESOC? I was an AoE3H kid through and through and only started browsing here in the past couple years, always good to see an active AoE3 forum!
I've got the tome for WoL, absolutely. The project you're working on is amazing and I'd love to help out. Civ feature guides? Are they going to be a bit like the civ feature 'how to play' style videos in Age of Mythology?
I'm not sure how popular the mod is on ESOC, I hang a lot with Wicked Cossack and he plays a lot though

That would be great! I'll PM you soon. Yeah, essentially. I love watching WickedCossack play but every once in a while he'll boot up a civ like the Colombians and have no idea how to even gather food. I'm sure for players with less skill than him it can be hell jumping into our civs with no knowledge.

Absolutely! So far we definitely have at least 1 female character planned for Act I. Do you have any accent?
