UI 2.0 Open Beta is released!
Updated to 2.02 1st November 2015
-Slight change to the layout of the options menu. Can now be toggled on/off by clicking on the blue button thingy.
-Added options:
[span] [/span][span] [/span]-Camera View Lock on Selected
[span] [/span][span] [/span][span] [/span]-To use, click on a unit e.g. explorer and then click on the button, then go make some tea. Can be toggled off with same [span] [/span][span] [/span][span] [/span][span] [/span]button/when unit dies.
[span] [/span][span] [/span]-Interjection's Calculator (cdbs= 1.25 vills in the mil/eco pop display etc)
-'Units Lost' option now excludes crates and wagons
-Added overlay buttons for the UI
[span] [/span][span] [/span]-Clicking on a 'unit' button will find a unit of that type (works for buildings in queue too). Clicking on a 'tech'/'shipment' button [span] [/span][span] [/span][span] [/span]will echo the name of that tech to the[span] [/span]centre of the screen.
-Added scroll buttons for the UI (note may be slightly buggy)
-Scrolling and changing display options will now update the display immediately instead of with a half-second delay
-The market upgrades on villagers feature has been extended to TWC and TAD villagers
Bugfixes:
-Observers are now properly allied with each other in a 1v1 obs
-Observers will now get a revealed map even if they don't have the UI installed
-The 'you have abandoned your colony' text has been removed even for observers who don't have the UI installed
-Fixed problems with sentries/irregulars/fishing boats/castles showing as blank tiles in the UI. Art updated to reflect civilization style e.g. Indian irregulars and Chinese irregulars will now have a different icon as required (despite actually being the same unit)

UI 2.0 Open Beta is released!
Awesome. Thanks buddy.
UI 2.0 Open Beta is released!
Not getting enough feedback on this, so I''m assuming it''s the limited map pool.
Included in this post is an updated 2.02 installer that will (on top of the UI and Andes 2.02) also install the maps Baja California, Arkansas, and Arizona (courtesy of Garja) which have been edited for 2.02 functionality.
Please note that
a) It still only works for 1280x800
b) If you want to 2v2 obs then Player 1 and Player 2 must be team 1, Player 3 and 4 must be team 2, i.e. tvb. Observers may be any team they want. 1v1 obs is set to work when you have FFA enabled, as usual.
c) If you spectate a 2v2 obs on one of the Garja maps, then your Control-F has now been mapped such that it will toggle fog on/off. Therefore if you do have any hotkeys which use either Control-F or Alt-C, either restart aoe3 before entering a regular game, or go to hotkeys then press OK to overwrite these with your default.
I really need feedback on this because a majority of the main features have now been implemented, so the next step I''ll be taking is extending it to 1600x900 and 1920x1080. It is therefore important that any problems with the UI are identified asap, as fixing them later on when there are more resolutions will be a lot more time consuming.
NOTE: I''ve abandoned the Open Beta naming convention and just suffixed the names with (UI 2.02). It''s pretty much a complete product for 1280x800, so don''t let the fact that it''s an Open Beta discourage you if that was stopping you from testing it.
Reminder: If you want to avoid the hassle of having to install/reinstall, then
-before observing a game, switch to minimized UI
-before playing a game, switch to maximised UI.

Version 2.05: Updated 10th November 2015
There are 3 separate installers, for 1280x800, 1600x900, 1920x1080. Make sure that you download the correct one. As usual, you should uninstall any previous versions via the control panel before installing this one.

Just in case it so happens that something has gone terribly wrong in the map script, I have only done it for one map this time around, Baja California. Both 1v1 obs and 2v2 obs are supported. It will be at the top, displayed as ESOC Baja California UI 2.05' if you are unsure of the map's UI version, then read the bottom of the map description.
General changes:
-Scores now display as usual instead of with 2 extra digits (well they're technically just hidden)
-Face value text of shipments has now had font size increased to compensate for various things
-Large crates will now display a face value of 500
-A pathetic attempt to fix some scrolling bugs in the UI has been made
-Techs being researched will now have their percentage completed update faster.
-Support added for 1600x900 and 1920x1080
-Several bugfixes related to camera locks upon game-end
-New and improved LOS switching re-enabled for 1v1 obs. Please have patience and DO NOT spam the commands. Also note that upon a LOS switch, you will essentially be placed on the team of that player, therefore you will no longer have access to the flare button in the minimap panel. Also players will need to place *'s in front of your message to communicate to everyone.
-Pseudo view-lock introduced
-Even in 2v2 obs, players will start off as non-resigned. Unless you don't have the UI installed, it is recommended that you DO NOT resign.
-Game will now automatically end once all players on one of the non-spectating teams has resigned.
-Script has been updated such that 'Invisible Tapir' non-spawns should no longer be an issue, even on water maps.
1v1 obs key mappings:
-ALT-n to 'view lock'on nth player from the left on the scoreboard (also sets LOS)
-ALT-0 resets view lock
-SHIFT-CONTROL-1 to show LOS of 1st player from left
-SHIFT-CONTROL-2 to show LOS of 2nd player from left
-SHIFT-CONTROL-3 to return to default view with fog, blackmap off.
-SHIFT-CONTROL-C for console [STILL DOES NOTHING]
-SHIFT-CONTROL-F for toggling fog,blackmap
2v2 obs key mappings:
-ALT-n still works but without LOS changes.
-All SHIFT-CONTROL-n mappings are disabled (except for fog, console)
-Due to some technical issues, LOS switching is not enabled here' instead, all observers get access to spies tech upon game start, so please make use of the SHIFT-CONTROL-F hotkey for toggling fog/blackmap.
Remember, this is meant to be an install-uninstall thing. If you wish to play a normal game then please uninstall the UI from the control panel and restart your game.
---------------------------------------------------------
Get testing, TAD scrubs. :extremelyangryapple:
@zutazuta @interjection no excuses now. Reminder: installer will overwrite 1.7

UI 2.0 Open Beta is released!
http://www.twitch.tv/aiz11/v/25134284
During the full multiplayer test I identified a few concerns to do with view lock and LOS switching which may result in them becoming opt-in only for non-tournament games via setting the game to sandbox or something.
View Lock-> Issues with lag for players
LOS switching-> issues with enemy buildings sometimes disappearing under fog after repeated LOS switches between players

Re: UI 2.0 Open Beta is released!
Aite guys, in this post is 2.06 for 1920x1080 in all its glory. [2.06 was the one used for the most recent saturday smackdown]
Changes from 2.05:
-Finally fixed ui scrolling problems. Shipment/Tech tabs will now auto scroll to the end whenever a new tech/shipment is researched.
-Features such as camera lock on unit and market upgrades on villagers which broke in 2.05 have now been fixed to never break again. Ever.
-Spacing problems for progress of techs being researched has been fixed
-Does anyone even read this stuff
-Shift-Control-d now toggles debug mode. Use it to help me identify techs which you think shouldn't be displayed in the UI (activate debug, then click on the tech's image)
-World hunger now solved
-Console now does stuff!. Valid commands include:
-fog() toggles fog and blackmap
-play(<file path>) will play a sound
-playx(<file path>) will play a sound over existing sounds
-camzoom(<zoomlevel>) will set the camera zoom (50 to 100 is recommended to avoid lag, but you CAN go up to 300)
-camnormal() will reset your camera
-lighting(0 to 120) will set the world lighting using an aoe3 preset.
Core features yet to be completed at this point:
-Logic for shipments sent twice (e.g. Japan). I could copy 1.7's, but I'm trying to find a better method.
-Fix for gatherers per resource relating to rice paddies on coin
Features REMOVED or altered from 2.05:
-Had to take out LOS switching, not due to OOS but because of buildings disappearing under fog. As a compromise, spectators always start with Spies now and you should toggle fog/blackmap using shift-control-f.
-View lock accuracy has been reduced to avoid potential problems. View lock may also only be enabled if the game is on the Expert difficulty setting. Also fixed a potential bug with viewlock with unintended consequences.
This download comes with 6 maps, all of which work for 1v1 obs as well as 2v2 obs (thanks Garja).
Arizona, Arkansas, Baja California, Pampas Sierras, siberia, yukon
A reminder:
You will need to use minimized UI
For 1v1 obs, set it as FFA
For 2v2 obs, set it as Player1+Player2 on Team1 vs Player3+Player4 on Team2. The team of observers will not matter as in the end you will effectively be assigned to Team3.
This UI is for INSTALL/UNINSTALL. Do NOT attempt to play a regular game whilst having the UI installed as there WILL be problems. You will need to uninstall the UI via the control panel. If you DO however play a regular game then use maximized UI in game options to bypass the UI 2.06 problems.

Not anytime soon. Only when a final design is decided upon will I be extending it to the less commonly used resolutions, as it is a lot of work to do so.
