Friend - enemey colors
Friend - enemey colors
I recently started to play some teamgames and I think friend-enemy colors can be really useful. However I don't like to play as blue. So my question is if its possible to change the code so u can play with the color u are used to.

Re: Friend - enemey colors
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Age Of Empires 3\bin\data
Add this file:
This file changes your "friend" color to orange and your "foe" color to red. Simply replace the numbers behind "friend" to the numbers behind pink. I don't know which number pink is or I'd do it myself for you, sorry for that.
To find out which number pink is simply check the order in game. Blue = 1, Red = 2, Yellow = 3, etc.

There are more colors than just the 8 we have?
Is there white?
Re: Friend - enemey colors
You can set up whatever color you want yep.
Re: Friend - enemey colors

Re: Friend - enemey colors
Enemy colors is fine when there are many players and everybody is using the same civilization
Re: Friend - enemey colors
What a pity is not possible using black when playing. Black units are so cooooolyemshi wrote:so these colors+the eight standard ones. There are three whites though.
Re: Friend - enemey colors
you don't see the HP bars though.
Re: Friend - enemey colors
I messed around with that file a bit (wanted to change red into blue) a week or so ago. Now my friend/foe colors make my opponent white, which is the most confusing thing ever since selected units are also white xd
Re: Friend - enemey colors
Doesn't Friend or foe accomplish this? or is it only the yellow/blue/red?
Error 404: Signature not found

In the coded file it seems colors are just described by numerical values. I wonder if you can adjust those to just get whatever color you want.

Re: Friend - enemey colors
I made one where I standardized the unit color with what appeared on the map. Made the purples and blues a little more distinguishable. I'll see if I still have a copy.
