Nice. What are your thoughts on Cinnamon so far? I'm contemplating getting Cinnamon as well.

Do some UI 2,2c files contain the 2,2b maps? I have some 2,2b maps twice in my custom maps list now.

Yeah I messed up. Although some are written 2.2b in the pack, they are modified and it's 2.2c

Hi, I wonder where you downloaded 2.2c version of the maps? I downloaded the ESOC Maps right now here
https://eso-community.net/maps.php, but it's 2.2 .
I looked into the xs files of both 2.2c and 2.2 . I saw that 2.2 contained more lines of code than 2.2c , and several new variables and if-else statements had been added into the files of 2.2 while I didn't see these new things in 2.2c . Does it mean that 2.2c is actually the older one?

Hello,
Although it contains more line of code, I guess it lacks some optimization made by Aizamk in 2.2c (more line of code doesn't mean a better software). So yeah the 2.2c link made in one of my previous post is the newest one. Good point seeing that the one in maps.php page is outdated, we should have to fix it

I actually never released anything past 2.1c
edit: wait maybe I did 2.2? Can’t remember anymore honestly

That is actually incorrect, all the various 2.2x versions have been retired, precisely because no actual UI 2.2c by Aizamk was ever released and it got quite confusing.
JiaHoJian wrote:Does it mean that 2.2c is actually the older one?
Yes, UI 2.2 maps are the latest version right now (in both ui and map code itself) and EP will automatically delete the old 2.2a/b/c if found. The maps are also automatically kept up to date in your custom map folder if you're using EP Launcher, or you can download them from the maps page which gives you the same. I should highlight that these maps (as well as the installer on maps page) are still being updated with every new EP release to include the latest map changes, such as the recent Baja overhaul. I think I recently saw on stream @
Interjection wasn't aware of that either.

Afaik you did both, but 2.2 wasn't ever released in English (it's only in jp on your "
UI 2.2 release" thread), so basically everyone uses the 2.1c UI program, which is compatible with UI 2.2 maps. I don't even know what changes are there supposed to be between 2.1c and 2.2 honestly.
Also, yes, that is still a very confusing current state, though I would argue less confusing than using various 2.2x maps. At this point, I think it will only be fully solved if any new English-UI program version releases and we can mirror its versioning on the maps side again.

Ah yeah now that I think, I think I did the letters versions for UI2.2 because I wanted to keep the UI2.2 flag but wanted to say that it was an update from map side only. So yeah @
JiaHoJian I think you should go for the UI2.2c which are the latest ones

Like I said, UI 2.2c are outdated by now and if you put them in your custom folder they will be automatically deleted the next time you start EP Launcher
You can get the latest versions by simply starting EP Launcher, or using the installer provided on maps page (and they will be labeled UI 2.2 as of now).
This change was done back in
EP5, along with the initial release of UIx maps and new map installer:
ESOC Map Pack installer- Implemented new map pack installer from scratch.
- Automatically generated with EP release, therefore contains latest map versions.
- Includes automatically generated UI and non-UI versions of all UIx maps for use in non-ESOC environment.
- Includes all special maps of ESOC Treaty Patch.
- Customizable installation destinations for maximum compatibility with other game patches (defaults to RE TAD).
- Available
here.
ESOC Patch installer- Now automatically installs generated UI and non-UI versions of all UIx maps for use on RE TAD.
ESOC Patch Launcher- All custom maps on RE which were generated from UIx are now validated upon launch and replaced with latest version in case they are found to be corrupted/outdated.
- As custom UI maps generated from UIx are always prepended with "UI 2.2 ", all outdated special versions of those UI maps such as 2.2c/2.2a are automatically erased from custom maps.

I guess if he asks the question it is probably because he doesn't have EP installed so UI2.2c installer is not outdated for this group of users

He mentioned in his first post that he used the new installer, therefore he does have the latest map versions now, and by using 2.2c he would be downgrading his maps even if he's not using EP Launcher. Just to be clear, the actual changes made in old 2.2a/b/c versions are included in the currently distributed 2.2, along with any changes that were made afterwards.

Yes, I am using EP Launcher, I saw that the version of the maps is 2.2, then I found that 2.2c was uploaded here. But EP Launcher is constantly being updated, the maps should be the newest as well. So I asked here to see which one is the latest.

Just some suggestions @
Aizamk @
EAGLEMUT It would be nice to use the same green timer for "units in queue" as in game (already used for "techs being researched") , dunno about working on building though.
And there should be a new combined viewing bar for "Tbr & UiQ" together.
And thanks very much for doing such a good work for community.
