I missed the anniversary of UI 1.7's release (12th September 2014) :'(
2.0 will be done, but as to when it will be done...

Another update for anyone still interested:
Just cleaning up my existing code right now. Reason being that there's the increasing importance that it should be easy to alter for different maps, patches and indeed completely different mods.
Nothing new to report on the features front.
That is all. :coffee:
I'll try make it a point to update 2.0 and post the updates here every Saturday or something. We'll see how it goes. Of course, this means that I won't be streaming as much, as working on this requires me to commit quite a bit of time.

Awesome. I am really looking forward to this. As much as I will miss your streams, I think this new AI will be very beneficial to the community for a long time to come. . .

Hi guys,
I said Id be making weekly updates so heres another one.
Ive changed my philosophy on how this whole thing will work.
Previously, I was against changing the basic in-game UI as much as possible so that players could have the UI installed whilst playing regular games and still not be affected by its presence.
Now Ive decided that in order to give me a much greater flexibility in design, the UI will operate on an [install for observing], [uninstall for regular game] basis.
This really simplifies the whole process. Previously, I kept being conflicted on how to arrange things, and that kept delaying production. I now have a pretty much finalized design.
Now that thats out of the way, on the features front!
-If anyone has ever played on my old nilla obs maps in 2013, you might recall that it had a pretty kewl console! It would let you type in custom commands, and funny things would happen depending on your command. Some were pretty serious observer-related things, others were hidden and would do rather fun stuff. (see http://aoe3.heavengames.com/downloads/s ... ileid=3523)
Its going to be making a comeback for this TAD variant! :cow:
Welp, thats all for this week.

I have a couple of questions:
- could it be possible to somehow incorporate the install/uninstall progress into the efp launcher?
- will it remain possible to use the old version ir will the maps have to be changed aswell?
- will you add ekanta compatability?
Anyhow, keep the good work up!

1) Probably
2) Completely incompatible with 1.7' maps will have to be changed as well.
3) It can be done but honestly if it''s an install/uninstall thing then there''s really no point is there not as if ekanta functionality works in obs games.

It's really fascinating what you can do with such an old game

Here's a tidied up image with a semi-functional console. (I can type in commands but they won't do anything at the moment)
