Re: Zutazuta Classic: Tournament Rules and Information
Civilization Rules:
Players will be told the map, and then both players will log out and whisper the host when they are both ready for the invite. Players cannot play the same civ in back to back games. If there are no casters, the players shall decide on a map and then log out, and relog in with their selected civilizations. All games shall be played in Champion Mode.
Map Pool:
Equal footing, Shelter pass, Arabia, Mountain Crossing, Coastal, Great Lake, Big Island, Treasure Island, Oasis
Starting Map / Round:
Round 1 - Equal Footing
Round 2 - Treasure Island
Round 3 - Coastal
Round 4 - Arabia
Semi-Finals - Sheltered Pass
Finals - Equal Footing
Each map can only be played a maximum of 1 time per series. The loser of the previous game chooses the map for the next game. (ex. player A vs player B, Player A wins game 1, player B then picks the map for game 2. Player A wins game 2, Player B then picks the map for game 3.)
Veto Rule:
Each player gets 1 veto per series, regardless of how many games are in the series. The vetoes will be given out live during the matches at any time a player decides to veto a map. If a player decides not to use a veto, than the veto does NOT get transferred to the other player.
Casting Rules
It is every players responsibility to work with tournament staff for the casting of games.
Only casters that have been authorized by the tournament staff will be permitted to stream matches.
The players in casted matches will be required to schedule their matches with their opponents and with the authorized caster(s).
All streamed games must have a time delay of 2 minutes.
The tournament staff reserves the right to extend the deadline of the match if deemed appropriate.
No additional observers may be present in games.

Re: Zutazuta Classic: Tournament Rules and Information
And if I am correct you didnt mention who first picks his civ from game 2 on. Or will they always whisper to host?

Re: Zutazuta Classic: Tournament Rules and Information
Is there going to be a rule that if both players don't have access to babylon and norse (later on in tournament) because they aren't a champion supporter that neither player can use them? Might be worth considering to have a fair playing field.

Re: Zutazuta Classic: Tournament Rules and Information
that is indeed the plan. if 1 of the 2 doesnt have access to a civ at the time of the series, neither player is allowed to play that civ.
