Betters,

Glorious leader @spanky4ever still sits on top. Impressively, she has held the top spot for the majority of the last 13 betting matches. @KINGofOsmane took her spot once, but was quickly neutralized. Then @dicktator_ attempted a coup, but fared no better. Currently, spankyou is enjoying an 8000 point lead over dicktator, and is starting to look like a favourite to win the whole thing. As we speak there are only 7 matches left. Can anyone touch her?

Probably, yeah. In third place is a man you can never count out. @zoom is back. How? You're not gonna believe it. This dude is not only great at betting the odds, he also excels at begging for points. Seeing him work his magic is something else. He always seems to know exactly who he should ask for a donation. Always the richest dude who is the least excited about participating. He found a whale this time in KINGofOsmane, who donated his entire fortune. Zoom now sits in third with 23558 points, and not a single one was won by him. You may call him a beggar, you might even call the whole thing #rigged, but you gotta hand it to him. Kid is resourceful.

Records after the round of 16
Most points won in a single match: KINGofOsmane (KINGofOsmane 3-0 _Riot) - 20874 points
Most unexpected result: KINGofOsmane 3-0 _Riot - odds 25.81
Most points bet on a single match: Stanley_Winston vs Tedere12 - 91711 points
Most points bet (total): bwinner1 - 85938 points
Most consistent better: Wout - 92% (12/13)

Bets have been opened for the round of 8. Kaiserklein vs Hazza54321 will be played tomorrow (Wednesday) at 14 GMT, so be sure to get your bets in on time!

Maybe 2k points for every player?

The volume of bets are quite low so odds are not solid at all and it always goes to last second swapping :(

Rejoice, broke betters. The powers that be have decided, in their infinite wisdom, to print some money and distribute it evenly among the population. 1000 pts for everyone!

This bit of inflation will make @zoom and @dicktator_ jobs slightly easier, but they still face a daunting challenge. @spanky4ever is now 14000 points ahead of second place, and her recent bets have been solid. She is looking poised to take the win this time. A tough nut to crack for our fellow betters near, but not quite at, the top of the standings.
But crazier things have happened, especially in the final stages of a tournament. Odds tend to be high due to the many different possible results, and bets tend to be even higher. Big swings in the standings are definitely coming, and the question is: Will spankyou hold?

This round saw the match with the highest winning odds in AoE3 betting history. 35368 points were bet on LordRaphael vs goongoon, and only 263 (or 0.7%) were bet on the correct result (goongoon 4-2). The odds were 100.48, and I won't be surprised if this is a record that will never be broken again. Even better would have been goongoon 4-1, on which only 15 points were bet. Either way it was a major upset. You would expect to see massive wins in the betting, but it wasn't like that. After all, only 263 points were bet on the result so there was no one winning the full 1000*100 points. Spankyou and @aligator92 both had 100 points on it, and were certainly happy with the result, but it was @deleted_user2, betting 1500 on goongoon winning, who took home the jackpot of 11085 points. He is also someone you can never count out, having won a betting event before and doing well almost every time. He's now in 5th place.

Anyway, these round of 4 matches gonbegood. They are scheduled for tomorrow and Sunday. Check your player sheets for exact times. Don't miss 'em!
Keep in mind the third place match will not be a betting match.

Records after the round of 8
Most points won in a single match: KINGofOsmane (KINGofOsmane 3-0 _Riot) - 20874 points
Most unexpected result: goongoon 4-2 LordRaphael - odds 100.48
Most points bet on a single match: Stanley_Winston vs Tedere12 - 91711 points
Most points bet (total): bwinner1 - 105138 points
Most consistent better: Wout - 92% (12/13)

So first the spreadsheet shows me wrong odds for Mitoe (all like 20) and then, after I bet it shows me the real ones but does not allow me to cancel my bet on 4-1 Mitoe. Any chance I am getting a refund? @Goodspeed
