@spanky4ever's record of most points won in a single match, which I predicted would last a while, lasted exactly 1 match. History says it's rare to win more than 15000 points, but clearly history doesn't know what it's talking about. In this tournament of upsets, big wins are anything but rare. A big swing in the betting event was inevitable when Garja fell to @KINGofOsmane in a 3-0 sweep. Osmane himself took the double win, and what a win it was. No one except him expected the sweep, and even he only had 500 points on it. With crazy high odds of 25.81, along with his bet on himself winning, he gains 20874 points. A ridiculous win, normally only seen in finals. After that win he was in second place, though much too close to spankyou for her taste, I'm sure. She was enjoying a solid 12000 point lead over second place the match before, and suddenly it was only 2000.
Slowly but surely spankyou continued to lose points until KING, with a "safe" 10000 point bet on LordRaphael winning, finally took her place at the top of the standings. Grats and well played!

Meanwhile, treaty bois @Gichtenlord and @dicktator_ have been doing quite well and find themselves in 3rd and 4th, less than 10k behind first. SomppuKunkku, who has won betting before, is in fifth. Even @zoom is back in business, after having lost it all at least 5 times, and finds himself in 8th place. It was looking great for spankyou for a second there, as far as that is even possible in a betting event, but the fight continues. And it's close, there are plenty of possible winners still. With some great matches coming up, the round of 16 may prove decisive.

Because there were issues with the betting sheets the weekend before last (Google sheets' instability has plagued me from the beginning, but it was really bad this time), I've had to cancel betting for Kaiserklein vs Conquerer999 and PrinceofKabul vs roiarthurbis. For most of us there was no opportunity to bet on these series. Let's hope it doesn't happen again.
