Except there's also the fake events (deathmatch, king of the hill and blitz). No one signs up in these, plus they're not competitive because almost no one plays these gamemodes. Then there's the 2v2 tourney that doesn't count because 2 laggers who should anyway be disqualified from the whole event (and are currently taking the spot of 2 legit players in the playoffs btw) made it to the finals. So at the end of the day only the four 1v1 tourneys are left, and if you can't participate in some of these (or if you lose because of the dumb bo1 format) you're pretty much fucked

I wanted to call Kaiser out for beeing salty but he is actually right. This is not gonna be very competetive.

It should either be mix between all the gamemodes or the standing shouldnt be made out of mixed gamemodes.

1. "they're not competitive because almost no one plays these gamemodes"
the title is not "ESOC SUP WEEKEND TOURS". Treaty is as competitive as SUP. Lol.

2. "because 2 laggers who should anyway be disqualified from the whole event"
Actually its only kynesie who caused lag problems in 2v2. Tit doesn't lag. Also, with only 2v2 points you won't make it to finals.

3. "or if you lose because of the dumb bo1 format"
it's not dumb lol. With same logic, all csgo tournaments, football cups etc are dumb. You lost, deal with it.

It's not about treaty not beeing competetive, it's about the fact that you get points for treaty when in the end only sup is gonna matter

Lol ok then let's start a dick measuring contest with tit. After all I dared call him and his butt mate laggers, which is certainly unheard of and has no reasons at all.

Aykin Haraka wrote:You would have been in the current top 8 players if you didn't lose like a noob as you are in the 2v2 tourney,
but anyway, if you can't send mercenaries in game, you probably have no chance to win

Dude I was teamed up with queen, and she's probably around captain in team. Are you really that stupid? :hmm:
And ahhh the good old mercs flame! That, plus your english, your lag and your skilled 100% musks strats... Are you look_tom's smurf?? You're just another overranked guy who can't figure out how to counter a troll build on shit maps, because of the bot 10/10 sepoy rush every game.
But if you want I can teach you how to go mercs, instead of your shitty build. Then you won't be as ridiculous as you were in the 2v2 finals again. Who knows, maybe you'll get highlanders, then z-move + lag, and you might win!

Aykin Haraka wrote:Moreover, I remember when you played vs diarouga, you said a wild word ... ! "lag"
Again and again of course ( should have a special taunt lag for you ), but then in reality you were just bashed, then you left the game

Even diarouga admitted it was lagging, only a well-known lagger like you can fail to make the difference between a laggy game and a normal game :/ poor Tit, I wish you knew how it feels to play a lagless game, it's actually nice.

Aykin Haraka wrote:oh and don't try to speak about the summer tourney I had other things to do

You mean the one where I bashed you? Yeah I guess that's not worth talking about. Let's schedule a grudge match instead? Casted and played on EP, with tourney rules. Feel free to dodge because you can't play only india

Ah btw, did you ever actually beat someone good in a tourney, before calling someone 5 pr better than you "noob"? :hmm:

Definitely, with like 16 people signed up, and like 3-4 good players participating, treaty is really competitive. Plus you purposely ignore DM and KOTH, you gonna tell me these are competitive too?

Tit almost always lags, how do you know he wasn't causing the lag this time? And anyway, it's at least 1 who should be banned.

The bo1 is dumb. Probably funny to watch, but it's not competitive at all, especially when the lower elo can essentially choose the map since he vetoes 1 map out of 2 remaining.

The playoffs were supposed to have all the previously featured game modes originally, I'm actually not sure why that's changed :hmm:

I do agree with that change. I personally find DM and Treaty entirely uninteresting to watch, and probably a lot of viewers feel that way. On top of that there is much less competition there. KOTH I don't really know, I've never watched it, but would likely prefer regular sup.

Btw I'd also change the amount of points awarded for 8th - 1st to not grow linearly. I know in SC2 they have similar format and there, winning an event gives a relatively much larger amount of points. This is a better way to make sure the best players make it to the playoffs, because to win an event you have to be one of the best. Getting 3rd place in 4 of the events is actually easier than winning one. For example Raphael, having won one, shouldn't be in 11th place imo.

Over half of the featured event weekends were in different formats than what the playoffs are now supposed to be, I find that rather weird. Players could in theory place in the playoffs without participating in any of the regular supremacy events and then be thrown into an exclusive 1v1 sup event.

You have a point but rather than changing the playoffs I would consider changing the events so that there is no way to place for the playoffs without placing well in at least one of the sup events. Ways to do that include awarding much less points for alternative game modes, having less of them or simply not including them.

Yeah I agree. For example dicktator could have easily been selected for the playoffs by just winning the DM tourney and reaching the blitz finals (maybe winning, we'll see in a few hours). Both of these tourneys had like 15-20 people participating only, and their game modes are not representative of the playoffs.
Well in fact it just so happens that dick is also good at sup so in his case it's fine, but still, it shows that the system is flawed imo.

The scoring system makes it so that the events you consider to be less competitive do not reward the players as much as they do in the larger supremacy tournaments. You should read my earlier response and you should review the point system chart.

It already works this way.

It's just a fun tourney for this time. It promotes various things.
Next events maybe shoud be supremacy only, as this format is cool.

They still reward enough to make you be a part of the playoffs... Which are exclusively sup? For example I earned 9 points from winning a sup cup (I know a lot of high level players couldn't participate in it, but still) while winning DM or blitz tourney still grants you 7 points...
Tbh we're just lucky that dick and lukas are also really good at sup. Like I said earlier, with these rules, you could have a pure treaty/DM player reach the playoffs. How would we do then? :S

ESOC's been making some questionable decisions lately. Still, I'm looking forward to the play-offs.

The 1st place 7 points are equivalent to a Ro4 finish in a larger tournament and the 2nd place 5 points are equivalent to a Ro8 finish. You could have a pure treaty/DM player make the playoffs but in practice we won’t see that.

If you’re looking to influence how the format for Season 2 will work, what you’ve said and what others have posted as well will certainly be taken into consideration for how we run the next event.
