Failed To Join - Nothing helped

Post by cptKadse »

Hai guys,

Me and my friend tried to play the game together, but we get the FTJ Error, and no fix seems to help.
He runs the game (complete edition) from a disc, and I run it from Steam.
He has Win7 32, and I run Win7 64.

We both run Asian Dynasties 1.03 and tried installing (http://www.agecommunity.com/gameupdates.aspx).

We tried port forwarding with the guide of venividivici (http://eso-community.net/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1161),
we dont have blocking firewalls or other programs we know of and we have everything allowed in windows.

We also tried windscribe but that was more a mess then help.

Maybe anyone here has some idea what we can do.

Why was WindScribe a mess?

My friends ping was out of bounds and we could not establish a connection at all.
Not sure if it was windscribes fault or if we did something wrong, but it did not help our problem.

I recommend using cyberghost. I have been telling this a lot of times in the this Tech Support forum.

_RDX_ wrote:If that doesn't work try this, you don't have to create any account. http://www.cyberghostvpn.com/en_gb If you're bored with waiting for the VPN to connect (It takes like 30-45 secs countdown as it is free), you can skip it by a hack trick. https://cheat-engine.en.uptodown.com/windows Download this and open the cyberghost.exe in the application, and select speed hack, put it to max, once you get rid of this countdown, close the cheat engine, you can easily connect the VPN hereafter. It should work now fine without the FTJ error.

Disclaimer: This trick is to just get rid of the count down, not for in game purposes.

We tried setting up a normal ES Online games, that resultet in the FTJ and we tried LAN games with windscribe that did timeout immediately.
Not sure what we are doing wrong.

Try a different Windscribe server.

GameRanger should also work. Sometimes there's just nothing you can do about FTJ issues other than either really understanding how your internet is set up so you can forward ports (if your ISP allows for that), or setup a VPN properly - those tasks can be very hard to do.

gameranger has italic thing (similar to FTJ). Voobly doesn't have such problems.
