Every game I see starts with =EP= and won't let me join

I downloaded the ESOC Patch here. esoc-patch.php

Installed, launched the launcher, hit Launch ESOC Patch, but I can't join anyones game from the server browser.

What is up with it?

At it is said in the EP description, you can only play it with people who have it. Feel free to ask on the discord to find mates

There is no need for the ESOC patch to play with your friends. The purpose of the ESOC patch is to provide balance changes for more competitive gameplay. All you have to do is to start the game normally without the ESOC patch launcher.

Use the esoc patch only with your friends if you want to play on new maps and etc, for regular games you should just use the standard patch until you improve a bit in the game. (no need to unistal EP, you can have both at the same time, just launch the game normally and you will be back to de standard patch (re))

When I start the game normally none of the game are tagged as EP. So I am a bit confused.

Is the tag EP not applied by players? Is it applied by the patch to show that that is a game you can't join?

I think I might understand it. But please correct me if I am wrong.

"=/=" is a does-not-equal sign. If you are on the EP, non-EP games will automatically be shown as "=/= EP" (meaning "not EP"). If you are on the official patch, EP games will be shown as "CRC Mismatch".

If you are on the official patch, EP games will be shown as "CRC Mismatch".

However, not all CRC Mismatch games are EP.
