Unfair Loss on elo

Post by ReasonableSanity »

I won a game and the player who I beat dropped in a game and I get the elo loss? How do I stop this from happening?

Hello, you unfortunately cannot stop it from happening. Only way would be playing with people you are familiar with and trust them to not do it.

Drop him and return to ESO lobby before he does, and/or stop playing with that person.

Is there any way to report these players? Who supports this game online?

Hi @ReasonableSanity, and welcome to ESOC. We understand your frustration, and I am certain that a lot of us have experienced similar issues. As far as I know, if it is an intentional drop trick (which seems to be true in your case), there is no way of stopping it from happening in random games. You might be able to go back to the lobby quick enough to secure the win, but I have not played ranked much to know about it. The only way you can really stop this from happening is to play with your friends. Streaming the game might help a bit, as it will also deter your opponents from doing so if they know that you're streaming.

Just a few things that have come to my mind. I am certain others might be able to fill you in with more details. Again, welcome to ESOC! :flowers:

P.S.: Do note that ESOC currently does not support public cheating accusations.

There is no official support for the game, which is why most of the players gravitate to this community.

Instantly kill all his units and tc before he drops

Well it seems there is nothing you can do about it. I think the cheaters won.

Please do read the suggestions that have been provided to you. They might pull the same trick off on each person once, but not the second time. Like we all said, the best way to avoid such thing is to play with your friends or to avoid playing with those who did that to you.

It really does seem like such people have like 10,000 accounts.

No they don't. If you are facing more than once on a single day, then that simply just isn't your day. In that case, I would recommend you to call it a day, do something else, and return on the next day instead. Also, putting those names on your pest list will help you quite a bit at avoiding them.

Explains why the IP was so familiar to me in the first place and this strange thread. :hmm:

A bit too tired to notice, but thanks, duck. :P
