aoe3 with Steam Controller

Hey!
I want to play aoe3 with my steam controller. But as soon as i start the game and the AOE3-banner comes up, the controller stops working. When i alt-tab back to windows 10 the pad works normal again. It just doesnt work in aoe3. windowed or fullscreen doesnt matter.
May be one of you might have an idea what the problem is. My keyboard (wireless) with touchpad works fine and as far as i know, the steam controller does nothing else than emulate a normal mouse....

it might have something to do with the game launcher.... is there a way to turn it off or sth.?
the Controller works with every other game.... aoe2 hd also

I have no idea what the problem might be, but since the steam controller is quite new you might want to make a topic on the steam forums explaining your issue. They can probably help you better than we can.

the aoe3 community seems to be very small in steam. i asked the same question there too but nobody seems to know...
somebody on steam recommended this communtity so i gave it a shot....

On a sidenote, playing aoe3 with a controller is highly inefficient. But do what you want I guess

imo the steam pad really works great for strategy games...with my style of Play.
there are very few Keyboard shortcuts that i use. with my usual config i can form at least 8 Groups and with the trackpad
im almost as fast as if i Play with mouse and im still not really in practice with the steam pad.
but youre right!

we can make a game once...if i ever get this to work right

PROBLEM SOLVED!
It works if i start steam as admin, go to big picture mode and start the game there!!
