This is different than the more common sound issue, where the volume becomes temporarily bugged from alt-tabbing. This is an all-the-time ordeal, from launch to in-game, from music to AI taunts, etc. it is VERY quiet, with volume turned to 100 it is still barely audible, but present.
Interestingly, this only happens with the RE version of aoe. EP has fully functioning sound. How can this be? I am sure someone smarter with computers than I might be able to diagnose the issue. Maybe provide some sound folders?
