Does the ESOC patch prevent map and other hacks?

How can you identify players who hack?

It's safe to assume people aren't hacking on EP. I believe it prevents maphack for the most part, although it's probably possibly to find a workaround (like with any cheating prevention really). I don't think one exists though.

Map hacks (and all other cheats we've identified, which is essentially all of them) are definitely blocked on the patch from both installs of some sort as well as third party trainers. The means by which we identify the cheaters are obviously not going to be released publicly, gotta stay ahead of them hackers and all.

It does. Saying that cheating on the EP is absolutely impossible would be unrealistic, but it's highly unlikely that it will work at this time.

The community that plays on EP is also smaller, so it's easier to catch cheater and ban or at least pest them.

To identify players who zoomhack for example, check the player in question's behavior vs bobabu's normal behavior and make a determination.
