Yes , I have been using the Numpad numbers . When I used the numbers below the F keys IT WORKED !!!!!

I dont even think control groups are in the instructions to begin with. Using numpad numbers is probably a very bad habit btw.

Keypad 0-9 may send as keycodes 96 to 105, depending on how the keypad is configured. The main keyboard 0-9 are ASCII keycodes 48-57. Apparently, the game distinguishes between the two. Good catch, Eaglemut.
