Error [101] - BAD CD-KEY - NO SUPPORT, NO HELP,NOTHING

I think this community is my last chance or opportunity to solve my problem.
I've tried to contact the retailer of my Game, the Age of Empires Support. But nothing helped.

I bought "Age of Empires 3 - Complete Collection" from eBay as a Steam Gift Game.

Always when i try to create an account, I get the message: "Error 101: You cant create another Account with this Key"

But I didnt have an ES-Online Account.

It would be nice if someone could help me and solve this problem.

If you bought it in ebay than someone has probably already used the product key to make an account. There are still several hours left in the steam sale, I'd recommend dropping 8$ and getting the steam version of the game.

If you bought the game second hand it's possible indeed that the previous owner already used the key for an account. You can only get a single account per key. I would recommend bringing this up to the seller, ask him for the account. You won't get the username you wanted though.

Which is unfortunate. Another possibility is asking someone here for an account they don't use. Plenty of people have smurfs they don't use.

Did you have a cracked copy of the game before?

Try to run this registry script http://eso.com/101.aspx and enter your key again. If that doesn't help, you just got scammed and Microsoft support is obviously not going to help you with an eBay purchase.
You can buy a legit account on the Steam store page http://store.steampowered.com/app/105450/, it's currently at 80% sale, offer ends today.

You can also buy the game on g2a if you do not have time to buy it on steam. It costs $10 there.
