AOE III freeze at main menu

I can hear the music, and when i click one of the menu i can hear the sound that i press it but it's not moving/changing at all.Can anyone help me ? What is the solution of this problem ?

Hey sorry for the late response. I think deleting NewUser3.xml (similar name) in My Games/Aoe/User3 (m on phone so location is not exact) can fix it.

EDIT: correct location- C:\Users\Ashvin\Documents\My Games\Age of Empires 3\Users3

Could be resolution or game in window. I think I had it before. Try hitting ATL and enter at the same time or is it ctrl and enter
