Negligible difference assuming no interference, especially in international connections e.g. UK -> USA -> Australia. Maybe 1ms difference.
Theoretically Wi-Fi routers will crash and overheat more often and it can cause interference in some ADSL connections. Induction motors and similar extreme sources of RF could threaten Wi-Fi too.
Getting LAN cables routed through walls/floors is a lot more expensive than buying an AC router and an AC card.
Is Ethernet significantly better than Wifi?

That wavelength won't pass through a wall so... Cool but inpractical considering you might aswell just use a cable then.

It's pretty easy to do yourself. Materials are inexpensive too. AC is also not as good as ethernet.
Ethernet Cord = $10
Wall Sockets = inexpensive, around $5-8 depending on where you get them from
Nothing else needed.
