I'm more from going back to the original version of high plains. This map actually used to be called Wyoming and the original high plains had a TP route that curved more toward each player's base at the end, so it was extremely difficult to control all the TP's. But Wyoming was just renamed to the new HP

Current HP is a mix of the 2 (wyoming and old HP). New HP has a more balanced trade route when it comes to first passage.

Reducing the post number to 3 would cause the same problem of Great Plains where whoever gets the middle TP receives the first shipment 40-60 secs earlier.

Can't you increase the speed of the travois while decreasing the xp, or put 2 large cliffs around mid TP to make sure that mid TP always misses the pass? And I think the old HP had 4 TP's and it seemed fine

Speed and xp bounty are fixed (not that I woule be eager to change those) and cliff already kinda block the middle tp but the problem still remains. I honestly don't see the problem of 5 tps when all other maps have 3 or 4.

Actually I don't think the problem is the map having 5 TP's, I think the problem is one player being able to control all of them. Especially a lot of map control civs like russia can take them early in the game, they pay off very fast, and early on it's difficult for other civs to push and counter them

does the number of tps on a trade route reduce the amount of XP you get from each?

Your suggestion is a nerf and india is trash tier atm, so that's not a good idea.
And anyway, the multiplier vs art wouldn t really matter, if your opponent can get his falcs and you re in colonial, game is over.

game over is such a sad conclusion :/ and ok so dont nerf it just give them multiplier against falcs

30% to 20% camel attack was something we considered already. For now we're not touching India or other civs.

ovi12 wrote:Not that you can contest with for example dutch

with dutch you don't need tps, but you can always build one and exploit opponent's stagecoach

What would be cool for india is to give zambs at least the normal multiplier that all ranged cav has vs artillery. But, to be honest, I dont think India would be the civ that needs a buff the most.

Isn't the basic design of artillery to punish tech-disadvantages?

zambs get the artillery bonus with the vet up

Oh, that seems somewhat fair design. Regardless, I think it'd be a nice tweak to india to give them that bonus in colonial, if you want to tweak them at all.
